(November 24, 2021 - Penticton, British Columbia) – In time for holiday gift giving, 97 South Song Sessions is pleased to announce that passes for the fourth annual songwriter performing festival will be available for purchase starting today. This year’s festival runs July 21 to 23, 2022 and will be held at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre (273 Power Street) in Penticton, BC.
The 4th annual 97 South Song Sessions festival is an acoustic music performance and storytelling event where award-winning, multi-genre songwriters and recording artists share the stage, in-the-round, entertaining the audience with tales of the creative journey that inspired their hit songs. The result is an intimate show that is variously touching and certainly unforgettable. A weekend festival pass, general seating at 2 shows, is $180.00 CAD per person. VIP passes, including VIP seating, an exclusive VIP Dinner and a VIP After party, are available for $375 CAD per person, plus applicable taxes/fees. Passholders will enjoy two 90-minute shows on back-to-back nights featuring unique, multi-genre lineups of songwriters playing their hits and telling the stories behind them, acoustically, in the round, at each performance. The weekend series of shows will once again be hosted by media personality Paul McGuire and features hit Pop, Rock and Country songwriters from the United States and Canada. Early lineup confirmations include Grammy winner and Hall of Famer, Tim Nichols (Live Like You Were Dying/Tim McGraw) who returns to the show in 2022, iconic Canadian songsmith and recording artist Marc Jordan (Rhythm of My Heart/Rod Stewart) and longtime Sheryl Crow collaborator, Jeff Trott (Every Day Is A Winding Road, Soak Up The Sun).

More of the 97 South Song Sessions 2022 lineup will be announced over the coming weeks and promises an impressive slate of hit songwriting talent as seen in previous years such as Neil Osborne (54 40), Gary O’ (.38 Special, Kim Carnes, Molly Hatchett), rising star Jessica Mitchell (Celine Dion, Trisha Yearwood), Grammy Nominee, Deric Ruttan (Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Blake Shelton), and Liz Rodrigues (Celine Dion, Pink, Eminem).
